Give Me a Clean Heart

God does not expect us to be perfect, but he loves us through our imperfections and his love is enough to correct our flaws. God's love is faithful, forgiving, understanding, omnipotent, omnipresent, and most importantly UNCONDITIONAL. You can't have God within you if you are a conditional person. Instead, ask God for a heart like his. One of my favorite songs by Fred Hammond is Give Me a Clean Heart and the song says:
Give me a clean heart To see You like I should To walk the path that's right To do the things You would Give me a clean heart And I will serve nobody but You
I love this song so much simply because without a clean heart, you are bound to the things that hurt you in the past and it in turn makes you unable to love someone as you should. From experience, it seems as though it is the ones that are in the church every single Sunday that have it all wrong. Not speaking about all, but a lot of people are in the church but not of the church. The word says that WE ARE THE CHURCH which insinuates that it is what is within us that matters most. The act of going to church is to fellowship with others and increase your knowledge in the word...NOT TO JUDGE OR RIDICULE others in the house of the Lord. A ritualistic believer is an individual with a reprobate mind. Being able to cite a scripture means nothing when it is not carried out through your daily life. The phrase “reprobate mind” is found in Romans 1:28 in reference to those whom God has rejected as godless and wicked. They “suppress the truth by their wickedness,” and it is upon these people that the wrath of God rests (Romans 1:18). The Greek word translated “reprobate” in the New Testament is adokimos, which means literally “unapproved, that is, rejected; by implication, worthless (literally or morally).” Those who have reprobate minds live corrupt and selfish lives. Sin is justified and acceptable to them. The reprobates are those whom God has rejected and has left to their own devices. That in itself is scary and no one should want to have a reprobate mind. God forgives us every single day and loves us in spite of so I encourage you to do the same as that is our purpose on Earth, to love and care for one another and be a body of refuge and let others know through us that God is there...ALWAYS.
